Freer Gallery of Art

The Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M. Sackler Gallery together form the national museum of Asian art. The galleries offer one of the Western world's most refined collection's of Asian art and the finest collections of paintings by James McNeill Whistler — anywhere, including the Peacock Room.

The galleries are located on the National Mall, which is the two-mile-long park extending from the U.S. Capitol to the Lincoln Memorial.
