Baked Ham, Processed
1 ham, 5 to 10 pounds
1½ cups brown sugar
½ cup bread crumbs
1 tablespoon dry mustard
¼ teaspoon cloves
3 tablespoons white vinegar
1 can pineapple slices
20 whole cloves
Rinse the ham in warm water. Bake in a preheated 325F oven for about 25
minutes per pound, or until a meat thermometer indicates 160F. Take the
ham out of the oven about one hour before it is done and cut diagonal
slashes across the ham. Put on glaze (mixture of brown sugar, bread
crumbs, vinegar and spices), add whole cloves at each diamond. Lay the
pineapple slices on top of the ham. Bake for the remaining time.

Baked Ham, Virginia
1 ham, 10 pounds or more
1½ cups brown sugar
½ cup bread crumbs
1 tablespoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon black mustard
3 tablespoons white vinegar
1 can pineapple slices
20 whole cloves
Unwrap the ham. Scrub off any mold. Let soak in water for 2 days,
changing the water a few times. Cut off skin. In fresh water, bring to a
boil and let simmer for 3 hours. Remove from water, add glaze and cloves.
Bake at 400F for 20 minutes.
