This watch does far more than just show the time (which by the way it displays in LCD digital format, and also in mechanical analog format using a Swiss Quartz movement). Wherever you might be, the RadWatch will assess the radiation situation and provide an audible or vibrating alarm in case of radiation danger when the user preset threshold values are exceeded. The watch is sensitive to the lowest radiation levels and can detect radioactive contamination sites or locate gamma & strong beta radiation sources. Alarms can be set to indicate when a specified dose rate or cumulative dose is exceeded. In addition to the numerical digital display, the RadWatch has a LCD analog displays, which provide a visual indication of the current dose rate and cumulative dose.

The timepiece also keeps track of the current time and date, and has a daily alarm, which can be turned on or off. The RadWatch can also display the CUMULATIVE radiation dose, or the CURRENT radiation dose rate. This is by far, the coolest techno-gadget we've ever seen. Great for workers involved with nuclear materials, security forces, lab workers, x-ray technicians, Uranium prospecting, etc., etc.
