Thermo TeleScan Telescoping Survey Meter

* Wireless probe-to-meter communication

* Seven decade range

* Continuus self-diagnstic tests

* Large, easy-to-read meter

Probe-to-meter communicatin is via infrared signals, eliminating the troublesome hard-wire links used in similar instruments. The durable stainless steel telescope is designed to withstand harsh operating conditions and can be easily decontaminated.

As a micrprocessor based 'Smart' device, TeleScan continuusly performs diagnstic tests to ensure systems integrity and reduce maintenance time. GM tubes, detector high voltage, infrared communication link, and batteries are all tested routinely during operation.

If a fault occurs, the system provides a specified audible and visual indication. The user interface is typical of standard analog instruments. A large rotary switch controls the display range and battery test. Switches for the display light, speaker and meter reset are located on the front panel. The display light has a time-out feature to preserve battery power.
