Grand Theatre - The National Opera House
The Neo-Classical building raised in 1825-1833. Designed by
A.Corazzi. Partly destroyed during the November Uprising in 1830 and
burnt in 1939 and in 1944. Rebuilt and extended till 1965 to
Pniewski's design.
One of the Europe's largest and the most modern theatres with the
opera house, the ballet and the Theatre Museum. The wing houses the
National Theatre. The statuary includes the Monuments to Moniuszko and
to Wojciech Boguslawski by J. Szczepkowski
