Roman Baths

Roman Baths

n Roman times Bath was called Acqua Sulis. The Romans built some baths there, where they could bathe Near to the baths is a spring. Here over a million litres of mineral water rises each day at a temperature of over 46C. The Romans thought this must be the work of the goddess Sulis Minerva hence the name.
