17 State Street Building from Staten Island Ferry
17 State Street is a 42-story office building located in the
Financial District of Manhattan, overlooking State Street and Battery
Park. It was designed by Roy Gee for Emery Roth and Sons for
developers William Kaufman Organization, and it is most noted for its
distinct curved glass facade. The building has been owned by RFR
Holding since 1999 when it was acquired from Savannah Teachers
Properties Inc. for $120 million.
On the right is the One State Street Building
to the left and behind is the One Battery Park Plaza Building,
21 State Street, 36 floors, 495 ft.
Directly behind the One Battery Park Plaza Building, is the top
of the 40 Wall Street Building. This 71-floor tower, also known as
the Trump Building, was originally called the Bank of Manhattan
Building. 927 feet. Not to be confused with the 5th Ave. Trump Tower.
